HOLYROOD Academy Sixth Form student Michelle Allen teamed up with friends from Yarcombe Young Farmers to take part in the National Three Peaks Challenge in order to raise money for the Dorset and Somerset Air Ambulance and the CHICKS children’s charity.
The challenge involved scaling Ben Nevis in Scotland, Scafell Pike in England and Mount Snowdon in Wales all within 24 hours.
Michelle and her comrades completed it, with minutes to spare, achieving an overall finishing time of 23 hours 50 minutes.
“This was an experience like no other, the challenge was both mentally and physically demanding yet rewarding with a huge sense of accomplishment,” said a delighted Michelle. “I am so pleased to have done it!”
