Firefighters were called to the incident on Kent Road, Tatworth and Forton near Chard shortly after 9.30pm on Friday night.
The fire started due to a faulty television in the bungalow, and caused slight smoke damage to the property.
A spokesman for Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue said: "One elderly female fell over escaping the fire and sustained a bump to the head and suspected fracture to arm.
"Crews used a trauma pack and the casualty was then conveyed to hospital by Ambulance. The cause of the fire was accidental."
