A CARE home in Chard has thanked kind-hearted members of the community for bringing some cheer to the home.
Before Christmas, the Chard WI ladies visited Oak Lodge Care Home and gave them a donation of around 40 twiddle muffs for the residents to use.
Twiddle muffs are especially good for individuals with dementia as they are a good way to keep people's hands busy.
They were made in a range of colours, using different textured wool and all came with different attachments such as buttons and ribbons.
Gemma Jones, leisure and lifestyle manager at the care home said: "They are being very well used and we really appreciate the donation."
