A CAR driver who died when he collided with a milk tanker has been named.
Daniel Boyle, aged 63, from Cromer Road, in Southampton, died at the scene of the crash on the A358 between Taunton and Ilminster, near the junction for Broadway.
He had been performing a U-turn shortly after 6pm on Friday, January 27, when his VW Passat collided with a Müller milk lorry, an inquest has heard.
The A38 from Southfields roundabout near Ilminster to Thornfalcon near Taunton was closed throughout the evening, causing long delays for motorists and diversions were in place.
Post mortem tests revealed Mr Boyle died of multiple trauma.
