COSTA Coffee has been presented with a commemorative picture as a thanks for its support towards Fostering and Adoption in Somerset.

Somerset County Council presented the popular coffee chain, which has branches across the county, with the picture on Thursday, April 20.

Costa has provided space, time and refreshments for people to come together to find out more about fostering and adoption in several stores across Somerset including Taunton, Bridgwater, Wells, Yeovil and Shepton Mallet.

The presentation took place at Yeovil’s Costa Coffee, where people interested in Fostering and Adoption got the chance to talk to real adopters and foster carers.

A Costa Spokesman said: “We are very proud to support such an important cause and we hope that the relaxed environment we provide will encourage more people to come along and learn about what’s involved.”

Julian Wooster, director of Children’s Services at Somerset County Council said: “We would like to thank Costa for its support for Fostering and Adoption in Somerset.

"The provision of an informal space in which to welcome potential adopters and foster carers is an invaluable resource.

"We welcome positive community partnerships that assist the ongoing hard work involved in finding safe and loving homes for vulnerable Somerset children.

"If you have a spare room, time and a willingness to care for a child and can provide a safe and loving home for a child or young person we would love to hear from you."
