FIVE members of the Tone Zone Fitness Centre in Yeovil entered a physique and figure competition at Taunton.

Mike Hannam, Lee Riva, Tim Griffin, Donna Huxter and Tone Zone co-owner Jane Carter competed against other fitness enthusiasts where they were judged on their condition, body symmetry and muscle mass through a series of judging rounds comprising of compulsory and free style posing routines.

And Between them they won a total of ten trophies, four first place trophies, one third place trophy, three best presentation trophies, one best new comer trophy and Mike Hannam was awarded the overall class winner's trophy.

Four of the five competitors will be travelling to Coventry in October to compete in the British finals which is a qualifier for the world finals which will be held in Madrid.

They have all been training flat-out for the past year with this competition in their sights and through their knowledge, determination and hard work have lost approximately eight stones in body weight between them.

Three months prior to the competition date the competitors embark on a gruelling strict diet and intensive training routine that is necessary to slowly reduce their body fat in a controlled manner to prevent any muscle loss and to reveal their lean sculpted physique.

Two of the five competitors have previously competed at regional, national and international level winning various tittles.
