A MAN who admitted being drunk and disorderly during an incident in Chard denied a further allegation of being in possession of a knife.
Carlos Valter Francisco Antunes appeared in the dock before Somerset Magistrates, sitting at Yeovil.
The 52-year-old defendant, of Wyatt Way pleaded guilty to being drunk and disorderly in Fore Street, Chard, on March 31.
However he pleaded not guilty to a further charge that on the same date in Chard he was in Fore Street while in possession of a bladed article, namely a lock knife.
A review of the denied offence was conducted and both matters were adjourned until June 18 when Antunes must return to the court at Yeovil to stand trial.
In the meantime he was released on unconditional bail.
