SOMERSET is set for more sunny and hot weather today as the county prepares for Royal Wedding and FA Cup Final weekend.

However, the sunshine won't last forever, and after a scorching weekend some rather unusual conditions are forecast for Monday.

Today's Met Office forecast for the South West region said: "A chilly start and patchy frost in rural areas will be followed by another sunny and warm day.

"The odd shower is possible over the moors. A sea breeze will develop late in the day, cooling down coastal towns."

The maximum temperature is set to reach around 19C, before falling to a minimum of 2C overnight.

Tomorrow's forecast said: "Saturday will start off rather cold again, but the rest of the day will be sunny and warm. Some fair weather cloud will gather during the afternoon."

The temperature is set to peak at around 21C.

After a similarly sunny Sunday, the clouds will roll in at Monday lunchtime.

Somerset County Gazette:

This symbol, Met Office say, means 'thunder shower day'.

The forecast added: "Further warm sunshine is expected on Sunday and Monday and beyond, though... some heavy showers or perhaps thunderstorms may arrive."
