AN author is set to unveil her new book at a book signing in Chard.
Caroline Newark, who lives near Ilminster, has published a new book, named, The Queen's Spy, about her eighteenth century grandmother Margaret Wake.
The story is about a woman struggling to save her marriage, of political intrigue, danger and a mysterious death. And a man who risks everything he has for love.
Amanda Broom, owner of Chard Bookshop, said: "I am absolutely thrilled to welcome Caroline to Chard Bookshop for her new release.
"Supporting and promoting local authors is really important, not just for the book industry, but for our community as well.
"We are really pleased that so many authors keep coming back to Chard - it can only be good for our town. "
Caroline will be signing copies of The Queen's Spy at Chard Bookshop, 3, Pig Lane in Chard on Saturday morning the August 4 between 10.30am and 11.30am.
