Steaming ahead at Railway Centre

YEOVIL Railway Centre at Yeovil Junction is again running its popular Easter Steam Day on Easter Sunday, March 23, and organisers are ensuring a treat for all ages.

As well as unlimited steam train rides with Pectin and on the miniature railway, there are turntable demonstration at 12noon and 2.30, and the model railway will be running. Plus, for children there is a free Easter gift.

In the Transfer Shed not only will visitors find railway and local history exhibits and an art gallery, but also light refreshments to keep you going.

Gates open from 10am to 4pm with train rides starting at 11am. Tickets are priced £5 for adults, £2.50 for children aged five to 15 and £12.50 for a family ticket of two adults and four children.

As supporters of green tourism, if people produce a valid same day' bus or train ticket to Yeovil Junction, the Railway Centre will reduce admission prices by £1 for adults, 50p for children and £2.50 for a family ticket.
