POLICE officers have seized another car without any insurance in Frome.

The car was seized on Christchurch Street West by officers carrying out enforcement patrols on Frome Bypass.

A Mendip Neighbourhood Policing spokesperson said: "Frome Seize another car without insurance! 

"Police Special Constable Dollard and Special inspector Meates conducting speed checks in Frome last night.

"They managed enforcement patrols on the Frome bypass and later seized a car for no insurance on Christchurch Street West."

Recently, officers also located an abandoned vehicle in Asda car park, which had no tax, MOT or insurance.

An Avon and Somerset Police spokesperson said: “Frome neighbourhood beat managers seize another vehicle.

“PC John and PC Kayleigh were informed of a vehicle in the car park of Asda, Frome, that appeared to have broken down.

“Following a check on the Police National Computer and DVLA online it was confirmed that the vehicle had no tax, no MOT, and no insurance so the vehicle was recovered under police powers at the owner's expense.”
