Dorset and Somerset Air Ambulance (DSAA) is calling on the community to hold a 'Brew for the Crew' fundraising event.

This latest initiative encourages supporters to get together with friends or colleagues, enjoy a cup of tea, and simultaneously raise vital funds for the life-saving charity.

The DSAA provides an essential service, operating for 19 hours every day of the year and often making a difference between life and death.

Yet, with no direct government or National Lottery funding, it needs to raise £10m annually to cover its running costs, with every mission costing around £3,500.

The charity hopes 'Brew for the Crew' will contribute significantly to this goal.

Emma Jones, DSAA’s fundraising manager has said: "Whether you hold your event at work, at home, as a group within the community, or at school, your support will make a huge difference and enable us to be there for patients today, tomorrow and in the future.

"So, gather your friends, family and colleagues, put the kettle on and enjoy yourself whilst supporting our cause. Every pound you raise will go towards our life-saving missions, helping us to be there when patients need us the most."
