FERNE Animal Sanctuary is looking for special owners to re-home some of its special dogs that require a bit more affection than others.

One of these is Taz, a seven year-old dog who was badly mistreated as a puppy. A popular dog with the staff at Ferne, Taz needs an owner with experience of larger dogs as his size means he is quite strong, and would be most suited in a home where he is the only pet.

Woody, as his name suggests, was found tied to a tree in some woods. The six-year-old Alsatian needs a quiet home without cats or young children, but is quite happy to live with another dog.

Finally Austin, a dog with plenty of energy who needs an active owner to give him they exercise he needs to then relax and watch the world go by. Austin also likes to chase cats, and needs to be around older children. He does socialise with dogs but prefers females to males.

If you or anyone you know can provide a home for these special dogs, contact Ferne Animal Sanctuary on 01460-65214.
