Alan Horne will be celebrating at the Phoenix Hotel
THE SWINGING sixties may be over for Chard teddy boy Alan Horne, but he wants plenty of people to help him rock into the seventies for his birthday celebrations.
Alan, a well-known face around Chard where he works as a rock n roll street cleaner, will be celebrating turning 70 in December and has extended an open invitation for everyone to party with him.
On Wednesday, December 17, at the Phoenix Hotel in Chard there will be a rock n roll DJ set for anyone over 18 years old.
Alan has asked that instead of gifts, he would like people to make a donation to Children’s Heart Foundation and there will be a collection for the foundation on the night.
The party starts at 8pm and goes on until 12midnight.
