YEOVIL model Kimberley Marren has been hand picked from hundreds of applicants to become the first finalist to take part in The Gap Year: Challenge New Zealand which has been launched today.
Over four-action packed weeks in November, the blonde bombshell will join four other intrepid travellers as they explore breath-taking landscapes, discover Kiwi culture, and take on some of the country’s most extreme challenges.
Kimberley said: “To be able to travel to New Zealand and take part in tons of extreme sports, meet new people and go on an adventure will be truly amazing.”
Their bags are packed, their passports are at the ready and now the competition is really hotting up as our final five intrepid travellers head off on an adrenalin-filled adventure of a lifetime to New Zealand in The Gap Year: Challenge New Zealand.
Model Kimberley, student Anton, upcoming director Emma, male model Chris and show jumper Holly have been selected from hundreds of applicants to jet off to the ultimate adventure destination.
There, they will explore New Zealand’s breath-taking landscapes, discover Kiwi culture and take on some of the country’s most exhilarating extreme challenges over four action-packed weeks.
Beginning online today (Friday 6th November) people can follow the fearless five on their incredible journey online.
Whether underwater, in the air, or on-land, we’ll be pushing the travellers to their physical and mental limits. From taking on the world’s largest bungy jump to getting wet and wild white water rafting, they must have nerves of steel and bags of determination to prove that they are the ultimate gap year traveller.
Each weekday, they will post short videos and updates documenting their amazing adventures on The Gap Year homepages which currently have nearly 12,000 followers across Bebo, Facebook, MySpace, Twitter and You Tube.
Viewers will also be able to get actively involved with the show by interacting with the travellers and influencing their journey.
Every Friday, a traveller will be sent home leaving just two worthy finalists to battle it out during the concluding week.
Both will be desperate to be crowned The Gap Year: Challenge New Zealand winner, but who will have what it takes to go all the way?
