TAUNTON’S Wayfarers Pantomime Society has donated over £1,100 to the Rowan Bereavement Suite at Musgrove Park Hospital.
The group chose the suite as their charity of the year after one of their members lost their first baby at 38 weeks.
The suite also received a donation from Cotford St Luke’s playgroup, who collected cash through their Penny House, where members donate a small amount each week.
Keiley Tuck, specialist bereavement midwife at Musgrove, said: “We are very grateful to everyone at the Wayfarers and the playgroup for their generous donation. “We have used the money to purchase a reclining arm chair for the delivery room, a small fridge and other small items to give the suite a home from home feel. “Almost more important is the sense of support that such a donation provides for the staff and families at the unit.”
