CRAIG Collins, 17, of Yeovil, was judged a Winner in the Pride of Somerset Youth Awards.
Despite a difficult start in life, Craig worked hard at school, notched up an excellent attendance record, and came away with a clutch of high-grade GCSEs in the summer.
His nominator said: “This is a fantastic achievement. I believe he deserves recognition for all his hard work – he should be an inspiration to all young people.”
