A ‘SUNNY, happy and remarkable child’ – that’s how Yeovil youngster Bryn White was described in his Pride of Somerset Youth Awards nomination.
The 12-year-old, who goes to Bucklers Mead Community School, was given a Highly Commended certificate for the way he copes with the challenges posed by his Asperger Syndrome.
He won the best transition award at Bucklers Mead and even though he was the victim of a happy slapping incident in the street, he never lets set backs get him down for long.
The team that cares for him at school say they have been ‘blown away’ by his attitude.
His mum, Kate, who nominated him, said: “He is always positive and cheerful and is an absolute delight to spend time with.”
