MORE than 25 contestants took part in the annual Three Wishes’ Pancake Race at Sherborne this morning.
There were four heats this year including three for children, having a flipping good time during half term!
Two of the children’s races were won by siblings, Thomas Chandler, 12, and Ellie Chandler, nine, and the third by Athena Stavrov, also aged nine.
The adult’s race was won by reigning champion Mark Gurney from Casterbridge Tours in Sherborne.
All proceeds from the Pancake Race, as well as £1 from every Pancake sold today, will go towards Sherborne Rugby Club’s new clubhouse fund.
Three Wishes’ head chef, Brett Sutton, said: “The turn out this year was fantastic we even had three races just for children which were all great fun!
“We’d like to thank Mike Burks from Castle Garden’s for starting the race, all the runners that took part, and all those that came out to lend their vocal support!”
