Chard'S regeneration chief says work is going on behind the scenes to push forward ambitious plans for the future of the town.
In recent weeks, the Action for Chard Town group has come under fire for seemingly slow progress on delivering improvements in the town.
This week, ACT chairman Di Goldsmith told the News the action plan should be ready by the end of the year. "Unfortunately, these things can take a long time.
"The South West Regional Development Agency gave us £25,000 to produce an action plan with consultants which should be ready at the end of the year, and the money can not be spent on anything else."
