Poppy Appeal launch in Yeovil

THE Yeovil branch of the Royal British Legion will be launching its 2010 Poppy Appeal tomorrow (Saturday) in the town centre.

There will be activities throughout the day in the entertainment area in Lower Middle Street with live music, displays, children’s activities and military vehicles.

Street collectors will be out in force collecting for the annual appeal.

A branch spokesman said: “We ask that everyone comes out to support us for this worthy cause and try to help beat last year’s record amount of £21,500 that was raised.”
