FIREFIGHTERS had to deal with a property fire at Kingsdon, near Somerton, over the weekend.
The alarm was raised at just before 11.15am on Saturday and one fire engine from Somerton, and two from Yeovil, plus a water carrier, were mobilised to the property within a farm in the Kingsdon area after a call was made from the occupiers.
On arrival at scene the crews confirmed smoke was issuing from a flat at the premises.
A spokesman for the Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service said that one person was treated for smoke inhalation.
"The cause is believed to be accidental," they added.
