So yet again the councellor is squeezing more money out of the people of Ilminster! What about scrapping planned council tax raises and using the money raised from this event to help sort out these so called problem estates? Yet again councellor you are totally out of touch with real people.

I guess this event will be held in that local hostelry known as The Shrubbery, which just happens to be run by a fellow councillor. And whilst being a for a worthwhile cause, will also boost the takings for that establishment at what is traditionally a quiet time of the year for them. Of course, if I'm correct in the venue, no doubt the good councillor won't be charging for the use of facilities for the event, particularly as Carnival night is a nice earner for them.

The booking form does not mention the venue - how strange!
