A DOG trainer from the Ilminster area is following up on his recent success in a national competition by holding a dog show.
Nigel Partiss, who runs his Tip Top Dogs firm at Dillington House, saw his cocker spaniel Swift claim third prize in the Kennel Club’s 80th Cocker Spaniel Championships last month.
Now Nigel is planning a big dog show at the picturesque 16th century house on Sunday, July 15, with seminars, lectures from Kingfisher vets, advice from professional nutritionists, agility courses and displays from sheep farmers and the dogs of war – dogs trained to deal with improvised explosive devices in Afghanistan.
