THE following planning applications have been received by South Somerset District Council:

CLIVE Champion has submitted a planning application to build a garden room at the rear of his home at Scriveners College, East Chinnock. He has also applied to carry out internal alterations to the property as well.

MR H.T. Hall has applied to build a detached home and garage and form a new access at a site in St Mary’s Crescent, Chard.

NICHOLAS Cleal has applied to carry out surgery works to trees on land adjacent to Osprey in Touchstone Lane, Chard.

MR M. Burrough has applied to build an agricultural building, construction of an aanaerobic digestion plant with associated buildings, infrastructure and yard areas, formation of a new access and landscaping works on land adjacent to Snowdon Hill Farm in Weston Road, Wambrook.

MR M. Gurr has applied to carry out works to trees at his property in Jasmine Close, Crewkerne.

MR P and Mrs L. Grabham have applied to build a livestock building, retention of existing building and installation of solar panels at Neuchatel in Stewley Lane, Ashill.

THE Lang Partnership has applied to install photovoltaic panels on two south facing roof slopes at Bowdens Business Park in Hambridge.

LADY Anne Wilkins has applied to carry out surgery works to a Pseudo Acacia tree at Brownsells in Main Street, Barrington.

THE following planning decisions have been made by South Somerset District Council:

CRAIG New has been refused permission to make an amendment to the installation of photovoltaic panels on the west roof slope of Donyatt Bowling Club at Donyatt.

MR A. Board has been given permission for the change of use of buildings from private riding stables to commercial riding stables at Balham Hill Farm, Yard Road, Chiselborough.

MS S. Mitchard has been given the go-ahead to convert former stables into a home at Vardens Farm in Broadway Street, Broadway.

MR K. Simpson has been granted permission to build a conservatory at his home in St Peter’s Close, Ilton.

NICHOLAS Webster has been given the go-ahead to build a detached double garage, workshop and store at Brooklyn in Claycastle, Haselbury Plucknett.

MR S. Boyle has been given permission to build a shed for storage of agricultural equipment at Downings Farm in Tatworth Street, Tatworth.

MR and Mrs Peter Rawlins has been given permission to build a single-storey extension to his home at Yaffles in Wambrook.

MR and Mrs P. K. McMahon have been given the go-ahead to build a detached home with parking at Oakridge in Townsend, Ilminster.

NEIL Lovesy has been given permission to build two replacement porches at the Old Chapel House in Hare Lane, Buckland St Mary.

LADY Cameron has been given the go-ahead to make internal and external alterations to include the building of a porch at the Dairy House in Dillington.

MR and Mrs John Twose have been given permission to carry out internal and external alterations including new stairwell extension to rear at the Swan inn, Lower Street, Merriott. They have also been given the go-ahead to make external alterations to include a new stairwell extension to rear, change of use of part of first floor to three bed and breakfast rooms and the change of use of function room to landlord’s accommodation at the Swan Inn.

MR Taylor has been granted permission to build a sand silo at Cerdic Foundries in Beeching Close, Chard.

NEIL Mackintosh has been given permission to install a ground-mounted photovoltaic array in the garden of his home in Pulmans Lane, Crewkerne.
