COUNCILLORS in Ilminster went on a walkabout to view Herne Hill and other open spaces the town council looks after.
They looked at the cricket pavilion, the new scorebox and the tennis courts, and were shown the work carried out by Mayor Roger Swann and a team of volunteers on the canal.
Proceeding up the Incline, the area where Ilminster Lions Club would like to plant the Lion’s Copse was shown to them, as well as a proposed site for a new Jubilee tree.
