POLICE are looking for two men who forced a car to stop in Crewkerne and then tried to steal the vehicle.

At around 3pm yesterday (Thursday) a man was driving his car in Cathole Bridge Road when another car overtook and forced the driver to stop.

Two men got out of what is believed to be a gold/mustard coloured Ford Focus and demanded the car keys from the victim.

It is thought they were then disturbed by passing motorists and quickly left the scene.

Officers investigating this incident would now like to speak to two men.

The first is described as white, aged between 25 and 30 years old, around 6ft tall, of a slight build and wearing a black hooded top and grey trousers.

The second man is described as white, aged between 25 and 30 years old, around 5ft 7inches tall and wearing a grey hooded top and dark trousers.

Anyone who may be able to identify the men or car, or who may have information that could help is asked to call police on 101 or call Crimestoppers on 0800-555111.
