SEVERAL homes were evacuated following the discovery of an unexploded Second World War grenade in Williton on Friday (July 20).
The grenade was discovered at a property in Larviscombe Close at 8.30am and a bomb disposal team was dispatched to the scene.
Residents living within a 60m radius of the site were ordered to evacuate their homes while the device was examined but it was declared safe within three hours and the cordon was lifted at 12noon.
