Rat run fears over Shudrick Valley, Ilminster

First published in News

THERE are concerns that a road serving the possible development at Shudrick Valley in Ilminster could become a rat run.

People are convinced a road from Shudrick Lane to Townsend would act as a relief road for motorists, but South Somerset District Council planning policy officer Jo Manley denied it would be a relief road.

She said: “It would be a residential road, but we would make it so it wouldn’t be desirable to use.”

A relief road on that side of the town sounds like a very sensible idea.

Or Ditton St could be made 2 way again.
