TWO athletes hoping to bring Olympic medals back to our region are in action this week.
Wellington Shooter Ed Ling (left) will hope to be on target for the qualification rounds on Sunday, August 5, from 9am to 3pm, and Monday, August 6, from 9am to 2pm.
If successful, the 29-year-old will compete in the final later on Monday from 4pm to 4.40pm.
BMX rider Liam Phillips (right), 23, competes on Wednesday, August 8, at 3.40pm in the hope of qualifying for the quarter-finals.
If successful, his schedule will consist of a quarter-final run next Thursday, August 9, at 3pm, followed by semi-finals on Friday, August 10, at 3.08pm and a final later that day at 4.40pm.
