New annual community event for Chard

A COMMUNITY event – similar to the one held in Chard over the Diamond Jubilee weekend – will be held on an annual basis.
Chard Town Council has agreed to put aside £3,000 to help fund a parade and party in Jocelyn Park.
The move has come following a proposal by Cllr Jenny Kenton. It will be run by a community-based committee.
