A CHARD fundraising campaign benefiting childhood cancer charities received striking support from a pub skittles league last week.
The Furnham Inn presented £150 to Andy Teague of the Little Purple Kitty last Tuesday following some serious fundraising at their annual summer skittles league.
The total was raised after every game when players paid 50p on top of usual fees.
Landlord Ken Mason said: “We like to support the more local charities – theleague is always good fun, with all players welcome at all abilities. We even have a few children players.”
The Little Purple Kitty has now raised a total of over £5,000 since last November.
