MORE than 500,000 people in Somerset will be able to access local radio stations on their DAB digital radios, following the switch-on of new transmitters today.
The Mayor of Taunton Deane, Dave Durdan, is carrying out the official switch-on at the Somerset County Cricket Club ground in Taunton.
Five radio stations - BBC Somerset, Heart, Capital, Smooth Radio and Triple Hits – will be available through DAB digital radio.
To receive the new services, listeners with digital radios may have to retune their sets. Find out more here.
