SOMERSET-based children's charity bibic has been shortlisted for a grant of up to £3,000 from the Lloyds Bank Community Fund.

It is one of four good causes shortlisted locally.

Handouts will be based on a public vote, with the organisation that gets the most votes receiving £3,000, and the one with the fewest receiving £500.

Mary Matthews, fundraising and PR team leader at the Langport-based bibic said: “It would make a huge difference to us and if we are successful the money will go towards lots of the work we do helping families and children.”

People can vote for bibic at Lloyds’ branches in Bridgwater, Glastonbury, Ilminster and Street or by texting VOTE CYN to 61119.
