POP Idol runner up Gareth Gates once played to thousands of screaming fans in top venues such as Wembley Arena and guests at the Haven Holidays Park in Burnham had a chance to hear the singer at hush hush gig.
The firm say they kept details of the gig hush hush as his performance wasn’t open to the public but just people on the park.
His appearance meant many holidaymakers were “over the moon”, according to staff, as previously the biggest name act had been Keith Harris and Orville.
Gareth’s been signed up for a year to perform at Haven parks around the UK and is part of the holiday company’s pledge to bring bigger name acts to liven up their evening line-up for park visitors.
Gareth Gates was runner up to Will Young, who won Pop Idol in 2002, and went on tour that year.
