THE first snow of the season has swept into Somerset.
Despite a mild week, temperatures have fallen today and a brief snow fall earlier today left people gawping out of their windows.
This picturesque video was shot by Richard Dodds as he walked his dog near the Seven Sisters on the Quantocks.
But, it didn't last for long and the snow hasn't stuck in towns and roads, but as this picture shows from Jeff Land, it has been sticking in more remote areas, with this snap taken at Culmhead, Taunton.
Looking at the weather forecasts, it doesn't appear that the snow will be staying though, with chilly but dry weekend forecast, with rain at the start of next weekend.
