THERE will be five candidates in the General Election battling it out to represents Taunton Deane at Westminster.
Nominations closed at 4pm for the poll being held on Thursday, June 8.
The five are - in alphabetical order - Gideon Amos (LibDem); Alan Dimmick (UKIP); Martin Jevon (Labour); Clive Martin (The Green Party); and Rebecca Pow (Conservative).
Mr Jevon, Mr Martin and Ms Pow have stood in past elections in the constituency.
Ms Pow won the 2015 election with 27,849 votes (48.1 per cent), defeating seven other candidates.
