EVER wanted to ask the Avon and Somerset Chief Constable a question about policing?

This is your chance to have your say, by submitting policing questions for Police and Crime and Crime Commissioner (PCC) Sue Mountstevens to ask him.

Ms Mountstevens is once again asking for local people to send her their questions based around a number of themes, ahead of her next 30-minute Facebook Live with Chief Constable Andy Marsh on Monday, July 24 at 2pm.

Themes for this next live session include the recent terror atrocities that have taken place across the country, hate crime, female genital mutilation (FGM) and road safety, in particular speeding, as well as taking a selection of other submitted questions.

PCC Sue Mountstevens said: “As your voice in policing, it’s important that I hear from you about what local policing issues matter to you the most.

"I can then put your questions to the Chief Constable, to be answered immediately.

"We’ve once again selected some very timely topics and I look forward to hearing what residents have to say.

“These bi-monthly live webchats are your opportunity to address your local policing questions and concerns directly with the Chief Constable.

"I look forward to receiving your questions over the coming weeks and do hope that you will be able to join us live on the afternoon of Monday, July 24.”

The webchat will be broadcast on Facebook live via the following link – www.facebook.com/AandSPCC and you can submit your questions by emailing them to pcc@avonandsomerset.pnn.police.uk or by calling 01275-816377.

You can also send us your questions on Facebook or Twitter using the hashtag #PCCinconvo.

Chief Constable Andy Marsh said: “You continue to put forward some really good questions to me such as what are the police doing to tackle fraud and cyber-crime and what is the purpose of body worn video.

"I continue to be impressed by your questions and delighted to be able to answer them.

"It’s important that we are as open as possible with the communities we serve and it’s vital we hear your concerns, so I would encourage you to submit your questions.”
