Motorists have been warned to allow extra time for their journeys while repairs take place following a lorry crash on the M5 this morning.
Highways teams will be working throughout peak traffic times to replace the central reservation barrier on the motorway, between junctions 13 and 14 near Michaelwood Services.
Drivers have been warned that one lane in each direction will remain closed until the work is completed and to consider allowing extra time for their journeys during this afternoon and evening.
Chris Caine, duty operations manager for Highways England, said: “This morning a 7.5 tonne vehicle damaged a 144m section of the central barrier. Our teams are working extremely hard to replace the barrier as quickly as possible to ensure driver safety. Our aim is to complete this work by late tonight”
