CALLING all Somerset cricket buffs – do you recognise the THREE people in this photo?
The photo was taken in the mid-1950s and will be included in a book due out next year about the men who made their debuts for the county team between 1946 and 1970.
Long-standing fans of the club will probably recognise the two batsmen as Harold Stephenson and Maurice Tremlett.
But who is the young autograph hunter hoping to get his heroes’ signatures?
Authors Stephen Hill and Barry Phillips are currently compiling information for their third book about Somerset county cricketers and would love to discover the identity of the boy, who’d be about 70-years-old now.
The previous two books chart the lives and careers of players who turned out for the county up until the Second World War.
