WEATHER: Somerset set to get wet with heavy downpour forecast throughout the day
SOMERSET is set for a heavy downpour today with a strong chance of rain through until this evening.
In the south west summary, Met Office said: "It will be a wet and windy morning across the South West as a band of rain moves eastwards with some heavy downpours.
"The rain will clear in the early afternoon with some brighter, cooler conditions to follow."
The maximum temperature is set to be around 13C, before falling to a minimum of 1C overnight.
Tomorrow's forecast said: "After a chilly start Wednesday looks set to be a dry day with plenty of sunshine. Cloud will thicken later in the afternoon."
The temperature is set to peak at around 12C.
