SOMERSET is set to be sunny and breezy today before temperatures plummet to sub-zero overnight.
In their South West summary, Met Office said: "A cold start for most, but dry with plenty of sunshine.
"A few showers will push through the Bristol Channel and across western parts through the day.
"Elsewhere, it will remain dry, but all will feel chilly with brisk winds."
The temperature is set to peak at 9C, before falling to -1C overnight.
Tomorrow's forecast said: "After a frosty start, Friday will be mostly fine with long spells of sunshine and just the odd shower. Winds will be light and it will feel less cold."
The maximum temperature is due to be around 9C.
