INSECT numbers are set to soar in South Somerset this year, says an expert in creepy-crawlies.
Pest controller Rob Simpson says the mild winter weather was good news for flies, fleas, ants and wasps.
He said: “We’ll only know for sure later in the year but it could be that we’re facing a summer of bugs.”
