FOUR people were taken to hospital last night after a multiple road traffic collision on the A303 near South Petherton last night (July 15).
Police, ambulance crews and fire crews from Ilminster, Chard and the rescue tender from Yeovil attended the incident A303 Southfields to South Petherton just before 8.15pm.
Two cars were invovled in the incident, with one person out of the vehicle and a further three still trapped.
Hydraulic cutting equipment was used to help release people from the vehicles and an air ambulance was called to take one of the casualties to hospital.
One roof was removed from one of the vehicles to gain access and give further treatment.
Three people were taken to hospital in an ambulance and one via air ambulance.
