A MOTORCYCLIST is in a critical condition with multiple life-threatening injuries following a collision near RNAS Yeovilton this morning, January 11.

A car and motorcycle collided on the road outside the museum at RNAS Yeovilton at around 6.30am. 

The motorcyclist suffered multiple life threatening injuries.

He was taken initially to Yeovil District Hospital before being transferred to Southmead Hospital in Bristol, where he remains in a critical condition.

The woman driver in the car suffered minor injuries and received treatment at the YDH.

The road was closed to allow a detailed examination of the scene by collision investigators.

Police are keen to hear from anyone who was in the area at the time of the incident who may have information to help them.
