POLICE APPEAL: An elderly man was taken to hospital after he was hit by a car on Compton Hill in Compton Durville
A MAN in his 80s has been taken to hospital after he was hit by a car.
The incident happened at 7am on Compton Hill in Compton Durville, South Petherton yesterday morning (May 16).
A spokesperson for Avon and Somerset Police said: "A Toyota Hilux 4x4 was in collision with a pedestrian.
"The man, in his 80s, suffered arm and leg injuries and was taken to Southmead Hospital where he remains in a stable condition.
"Anyone who witnessed the incident is asked to contact us now on 101 and quote log number 111 of 16/05."
