VETERANS of the British rhythm and blues scene Maggie Bell and Dave Kelly are joining forces for a performance at The David Hall, South Petherton, tonight (Saturday).
Scottish soul singer Maggie was one of the founding members of seventies rock band Stone The Crows, who were managed by Peter Grant, the man behind Led Zeppelin.
Since the band's break-up in 1973 she has enjoyed a successful solo career on both sides of the Atlantic, with Luther Vandross providing backing vocals for her first album Queen of The Night'.
Slide guitar player Dave learnt the tricks of the trade playing in backing bands for blues legends such as Howlin' Wolf, John Lee Hooker and Buddy Guy.
He has been a member of legendary rhythm and blues collective The Blues Band for the past 28 years.
The concert will feature a solo set by Dave and songs from Maggie's back catalogue as well as a mixture of blues, soul and acoustic duets.
The music starts at 8pm.
Tickets cost £14 full price, £13 for concessions and are available by calling the box office on 01460-240340.
