Assault in Martock

POLICE are appealing for witnesses following an assault in Martock.

The incident happened on Friday, December 21, between 7-8pm in North Street.

Two men were walking along the road. One of them then set off a firework which resulted in a couple walking a dog remonstrating with the man.

The man with the dog then kicked one of the two men, which resulted in the victim requiring hospital treatment.

A police spokseman said: "We would like to hear from anyone who was in the area at the time who may have information to help our enquiries.

"We would particularly like to hear from the couple who were walking the dog."
