Police and Crime Commissioner to attend FSB conference
4:00pm Friday 18th October 2013 in Yeovil
ON Thursday, November 28, from 4pm to 9pm at Haynes Motor Museum, just off the A303, the Federation of Small Businesses are hosting a Crimes Against Business Conference.
Frank Short, branch chair, said: “We are delighted that the Police and Crime Commissioner (PCC) for Avon & Somerset, Sue Mountstevens will be joining us for the evening and speaking at the event.”
The event will include seminars on topics that affect many small businesses such as fraud, crime prevention, reporting crime and victim support.
There will be a trade stand hall where delegates will be able to talk to professionals about their particular issues and see some of the products and services available.
Phillip Harrall, branch secretary, said: “Crimes Against Businesses is part of our Regional Lobbying Plan and, since the PCCs were elected, we have had the privilege of working closely with Sue to raise the issues faced by small businesses in relation to crime.
"We hope that the Conference will cement yet further this relationship and enable delegates to raise and address some of the concerns they may have directly.
“Since the launch of the FSB’s Cyber Security and Fraud paper the Region’s Lobbying Group has been working tirelessly on behalf of our Members to ensure that the voice of small businesses is heard in this regard.
“We look forward to welcoming delegates to this dynamic event that, I can guarantee, will contain a few surprises!”
The conference, which includes the Regional AGM, is open to Members and Non-Members and costs £15 per delegate.
