Education staff learn together

OVER 550 teachers and support staff from all Yeovil schools, together with Yeovil College staff recently met for a combined training day.

Staff took part in over 30 workshops at Yeovil College covering a range of themes within science and health. Organised through the Yeovil Federation health workshops included emotional health and well-being; brain gym; listening skills; circle time; story telling; and skipping in the playground.

Science workshops included gifted and talented chemistry, early years exploring science and 'cooking without a kitchen'.

The Yeovil Federation is comprised of all the schools in the Yeovil area, including Yeovil College with the aim of creating a 'Yeovil Campus' of learning and opportunities.
